jgdtool — Java geometry definition tool
is an interactive graphical utility to define simple 3D
geometries. The tool includes export as GDML file, a format
used by Geant4 application. The tool is based on the
Java Web Start technology and uses the Xj3D library.
jgdtool has been developed for ESA by the Belgian Institute
for Space Aeronomy in the framework of the SPENVIS project.
Java Web Start is included in the Java Runtime Environment
(JRE) distributed by Sun Microsystems.
Xj3D is a toolkit of the Web3D Consortium to manage
VRML97 and/or X3D content.
Geant4 is a toolkit for the simulation of the passage of
particles through matter developed by a world-wide collaboration
of scientists and software engineers.
